SSAM deletes it's exe on install

Hi, has anyone seen a situation where SSII is installed, and the program will
start to run but then deletes the exe file (and probably others script files).
I tried to get this on my brothers system last week, but no go.
This was the gold cd and then a fresh SE picked up from wal-mart.
We tried the same with FE with the same results.
I thought he may be virused, but he did a repair install of xp with
the same results. any clues? His computer sucks (566 celeron, geforce II MX PCI, etc)
but I don't think anything should be nuking the exes...

:hmmm: Sounds like you have something that doesn't like it. I was going to say virus also, but if you did a scan and found nothing, not sure what else to try. Is Norton updated?

that is a virus and have seen it before. damn i will have to look it up to remember the name. don't let him connect to the network
