Strafing?

I noticed that in the SS keyboard setup there is a Strafe Left, Strafe Right, and also a plain Strafe. Anyone know what that does? Is that how some players move back and forth from side to side so quickly? Yeah, I know I could just try it, but I'm lazy. :P

if you hold strafe it locks your axis and you can move side to side with the mouse.
not any faster though, i also get too much wiggle, so it may be useful if you work with it...

i got mine on the left arrow=strafe left, right arrow=strafe right.

I meant the plain "Strafing", not the left or right strafing. If you look there is three different types of strafing.

I think if you press left/right alternately real fast, it will look like you move from side to side like a madman to the opponent, although you&#39;re pretty much staying at the same place all the time.

It&#39;s the lag which does that.. the game thinks you&#39;re about to move in a certain direction and predicts it, but then you go to another direction and so start popping all over the place.

It only works with opponents who have high pings though i guess.
