I was playing in LT and there was this wierd blue and red light shining on one of the walls. It stayed there the whole game.

BTW, GG Jim!

thanks sirc, you came in late, else I am sure I would have still beat you :P
hopefully...

it sounds like your graphics card may be dying, or you may have some bad
files. lighting and all of that is handled by the local system.
I remember someone else who complained about bizarre textures
in the hole...

anyway, see if it recurs...

otherwise it may just be a stray radiation making your memory act funky

Man,that is strange. Sometimes I have a problem with the UT2003 map Inferno. There are teleporters that use a particle effect that looks like electricity and smoke to mark them.Sometimes they aren't visible but still work.

I wonder if it could be the lens flare from the skybox somehow showing through the wall? Anyone who's ever mapped for a game like this will know how hard it is to keep from having BSP errors. These errors occur when the builder brushes don't align properly. This can cause all sorts of visual anomalies such as being able to see through walls from certain angles and a hall of mirror effect around doorways and windows.

I can't tell by the screen shot, but if you were facing the lens flare I wouldn't be suprised if it was being projected onto the wall texture.

(The corona lighting effect used in UT99 is often visible through walls and other structures.)

Like the guy in Indiana Jones said right before he melted.

"It's beautiful!" :w00t:

:hmmm: I have lens flares turned off. It takes processing power, and is totally unecessary. It's also the first and only time I have seen that. And I have played in LT A ALOT! It was just that one game. Strange as hell. And it hasn't happened again tonight. :WTF:

:hmmm: Didn't think about lens flare being turned off. Probably just some weird glitch in the cyber world. :WTF: Hopefully it won't happen again.

Maybe Croteam moved their disco-room from Cooperative :P

Seriously now, I'm afraid Jim is right and you might want to lookout for a new vidcard
