:wave: Hey all you lovely people,,,just wanted to clarify something with yo alll !!

Crazy Idiot is a Villains,,,right ? And ,,is the villains server run by him?

Don't worry,,I haven't got a problem :thumbs: .The reason I ask is because I was playing on the Vserver and thinking to my self how good it was,,,,,Also I was having a conversation with CI but couldn't see his tags on the screen! He must of been the client talking .He and I were talking about servers as he seemed to be aware that I was responsible for the Outlaws uk server.

Anyway it's a shame he is not on the forums,,or am I just being stupid ? :rofl: He is always a pleasure to play ,polite and a good sportsman. A tribute to the standards of the Villains :thumbs: :jammin:

Thanks for the Visit Oz! Yes, You might recognize him by "cri" in the forums. He isn't registered as Crazy Idiot, Just "cri", but he does have a signature banner with Crazy Idiot on it! And yes, he does have a pretty good server for being across the pond! :thumbs:

Sorry I had a lot of work today, so I couldn't answer you before.
Yes it is my server, lately too lagy for me, so I use alias names to play on it.

yeah, i think that lag is caused somewhat by ping, but more by cpu, if you do not have a strong cpu, then it will get laggy after a certain number of players...

Server has Celeron 2000, 256 MB ram DDR 333, 60 GB disk, MB abit BE-7, Radeon 9000 pro, my comuter has Asus P4C Deluxe, P4 2600/800 (running on 3000 Mhz), 512 MB ram DDR 400 dual, 120 GB disk, Radeon 9500 128.

I think I should upgrade to some game which works. :hmmm:

Hmmm, just as an experiment, why don't you try running the server on your stronger system, and see if it gets lagged as easy?

I tried cpu usage when server was full (8 players) and it showed 7%, I think celeron 2000 is fast enough to be a dedicated server. Maybe I should try v 1.05. I don't know what happened to full version 1.50, will it be out soon or not. :hmmm:

It is easy for me to play on my own server because it's not the computer I play on.
About six months ago I finally got so sick of all the servers being across the pond as you might say and being on dial up,,,,,! My ping has never been below 320 untill I got my own server and even now is never blow 200 because I am on dial up. There are many players that haven't got a clue as to the advantage they have with a good connection let alone a good ping.I decided to embark on my own server but more importantly one that's in the uk.I did a lot of shopping artound and couldn't find any but a few companies that wanted to charge me a fortune for the rented privalige.
So I had the bright idea of getting a very clever friend of mine to build me a server and have the server housed at his house because he has a one meg connection.My server is a dedicated server , I dont have the problem that you have :hmmm: ,So sorry buddy can't help you with that one.

The spec of my dedicated server is simply amd athlon 2.4 processing speed with xp pro,plus the few other simple bits you need.My server is on 24/7 and I have remote access.

Buddy if I can be of any help at all then please just give me a shout ,,,,ok :thumbs:
