Well, i've been wanting to try out DAOC but i can't afford the monthly payment. So, i decided to make this poll. :P

Without the monthly subscription fee, you would never see improvements in the game. That is one reason why people play games like DAOC. Even though they have bugs, new features are constantly added and occasionally, they even fix a bug or two. :P They couldn't afford the luxury of a changing environment not to mention server upgrades otherwise.
It's not a bad idea, but I'm just telling you what I like about paying monthly. I hated the pay every month thing too.

It would be nice but it will probably never happen. MMO games are expensive to run. With all of the servers, people, and bandwidth, a game probably has to bring in 750k in revenue just to break even. So unless there a uber load of advertising in it or you would be willing to pay $200 off the bat, I wouldn't count on it.

I mean, i'd pay it gladly if i had the money. right now i'd be lucky to get the game itself.

Its good that MMORPG's aren't my thang, cuz there is no way i'd pay to play that even if i get updates!
I'm lazy but i have no problem downloading a patch for my no monthly subscription game!

um, there are plans to bring out free mmo's. expansion packs will be sold instead to add areas and things to what you can do. I like this idea better. all in all though I would still rather frag,
because that is about what can you do, rather than how much time have you invested?...
