hey peeps, how is ut2003? and how does it compare to sam? pleas explain some pro's and cons. is it like sam is it better is it???????. how is the online gaming? please give details so i know if i should buy it. hows the community players?

hey bigg, I only play CTF, and in low gravity, the people are ok, some cuss, but for the most part they are cool. The game is slow, very slow, kinda like its for retards to play. SS is like 4 or 5 times faster, if SS did not lag so bad, UT would be forgotten in a week,,,, it is worth the money,,, just to play the CTF. Mods and new maps come out every day,,, croteam should have made an auto download for SS, it would save the game... this is MHO..... :) [/url]

Yes UT2K3 is slower than SS as far as your player running at first, But something that hasn't been mentioned much in the UT post around here is that there are pickups (Adrenaline) in the game that allow you to boost your speed among other things. I believe the game was designed that way intentionally to make you use the 4 different (Speed, Invisibility, Booster, Berserk) adrenaline combos. Learn to use them and the game gets better. Start a server by yourself to practice them and you will see that I'm right. :wink:

I'm still trying to learn to use them myself, It just takes time and until you do, Your gonna play poorly.

I can't comment on the lag problems your're having with your dialup connections other than to say I'm sorry you are forced to live with that type of connection. :(

Hammer has the beige shorter tower, Machine's tower is the tall black one, and mine is the dark grey tower. My tower has an AMD sticker on it, Machine's does not...and I'm not sure about Hammer's. Machine and I have Cheiftech cases...got them at Newegg.

We can't wait til our next LAN party...I think it is going to be in Saint Louis this time. We had such a great time. There are more pictures of the party in the General section under LAN party in case you didn't see those. Chico hosted it at his business. $pike and his wife, Rachel (also, our newest Outlaw, Iris) let us stay at their house. Rachel and Chico's wife, Debbie cooked for all of us.
