I get that too sometimes. It really sucks in rail instagib because the beams go right through people but don't do any damage. :bandhead:

Actually, because of the lag correction, you don't really have to worry too much about lag in quake. The server goes back every time you fire to check to see if the guy was in your line of fire and if he was, ba-da-bing ba-da-boom, you got a hit. That's why it seems like people hit you around corners sometimes.

The ping does kind of hurt you in instagib though. Because whichever fire request gets to the server first is going to get serviced first. Which means that if you fire at the same time and both have good aim, the lower ping will win every time. ;)
