you get an unexpected bill along with your phone bill saying you called some 900 #?

ever wonder how that number was dialed?

if you use dial up service, do a search for dialler.exe

this is a known scam that a file makes your pc dial out to the number. you would think that the gov't would be able to close this down but what would you expect.

this is the second time one of my clients have received this. better becareful of the porn sites you visit. that what i always tell them

i use a pop up killer (popup cop) and if you visit a site that tries to download something without your knowledge, a window pops up telling you the site is trying to download something and you can choose wether or not you want it. (its kinda ironic a window pops up to tell you, but hey it works)

A buddy of mine had this problem. He got a bill for $80 and got it taken off saying his son must have clicked on something. lol
Last week another one for $50. I went over this last weekend and installed ad-Aware and ran it. He had about 250 things listed and I removed them. Ran it again and it came clean. I then installed spybot and ran it. It found about 10 more things and some of them had xxx.dialer in them. So it looks like it is best to use both programs. Ad-Aware is easy. Spybot makes me a little nervous with their different color flags. I wouldn't worry with an XP machine as I could just back to a restore point, but my buddy had Win98. Think I got rid of everything for him but I quess the true test is with his phone bill next month. lol

Hmm. I like the restore feature and have used it a couple times myself. I had some remnants of a program and was hunting around trying to delete them. Got tired of hunting around in the registry. Did a restore, end of problem. Start to finish about 10 minutes. I have it running but have cleaned out the saved restore points a couple of times.

Why don't you have it running, because of performance loss?
:hmmm:

Just search google for all your pr0n needs! hahahaha  According to magizines like PC mag and stuff like that I found out that I had the worse spy bot in the world on my computer. You may have heard of it its called "Lop" basicially what it does is takes over your internet explorer (in this case) well it creates a tool bar that diables any pop up stopper and norton antivirus and it tells lop what sites you have acessed and it sends you pop ups usially with infected files. It also will download infected files into your system 32 folder and some auto install. The spybot usially is found hiding in your wallpaper folder in a couple of exe's and some html documents. It's the worst thing to get and I got it and I have no clue how but I got rid of it within the week from notice. Lop is legal somehow and they do this to make money and its sick and if I ever get to meet anyone apart of Lop I will personially show them a thing or two about death. Anyways if anyone has this please feel free to contact me I will be more than happy to help.

Thanks alot!
