i dont know is that a cheat or the values is for professioonals only, but here's my problem:

i have home DSL with 265Kb/s. In DSL's documents is writen that my DSL:
1. download speed is till 256Kb/s
2. upload speed is till 50Kb/s

but my DSL:
1. downloads with 30 Kb/s from world and with 30 - 70 (accelerate) Kb/s from my country
2. uploading with 5 kb/s to world and with 10Kb/s to my country webs/users

is that some owner's cheat or that's normal?

if normal, then they are using this 256Kb/s value?

dunno, you may be confusing things a bit.

like a 1.5Mb/256Kb will give upload/download of 156KB download 16KB upload

the difference is in the 'b's. if it is B, that means bytes,
b means bits. there are 8 bits to a byte, + there is overhead
in sending & receiving traffic, so you can probably divide by 10 to
see what you should be getting.

if you meant 30KB/5KB, that is normal,
but if you meant 30Kb/5Kb, that is slower than dialup

i meant:

my 256 KB "fast connection" DSL downloads with 30 KB per second

is that normal? :WTF:
