Does anyone know why my POP & SMTP settings always change? I use RCN cable
If I set it up: POP.rcn.com & smtp.rcn.com for some reason it will change itself to Localhost (pop field) and in my user name area it will put (password/pop.rcn.com)
this is driving me wacko.aside from really pissing me off. Anyone else have this problem. Helllllllllllllllllllllllp :bandhead:

you have an antivirus program that is doing it.
it should be running another program that catches the email
requests and redirects them, and filters the email
when it comes in. if it isn't working right, you can always
turn it off or you may need a reinstall...

Jim you the man :thumbs: Yes I use PCcillin and it does have a mail scan.

I use Outlook, and have Nortons, and it scans all incoming email as well as outgoing. Never had my settings get lost though. :(

I had the same problem with Norton. I had to disable the email scan. I think that Microsoft issued a fix for my issue, but I don't know if they have one for PCcillan.
