Well Unforgiven posted this ONS guide (http://www.gamemecca.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=28620) here a while back.
as far as others, still learning as I go. defending the base is useless more often than not, way better off atacking a node and breaking the link.

shock rifle combo's are great defence for charging mantas.

Basics, learn fast weapons switching in battle, shock to lightning is nasty, I personally like going mini to flack now  lots of people will get close when you got a mini out, so send them a smiley faced flack shell when the do, people will run more from flack than mini, so set them up.

Long falls, use shield from shield gun to less the impact when you land.

avoid fights with anyone named Smooth, MarX, or Gold

and get on Twitch's team for ONS, greatly improves chance for victory. ;)

Another thing I found really usefull is the shock rifle...it saved me from many a manta smash, and sometimes some scorpian mutilations.

a) secondary fire on the shock will send a manta at full speed off in the opposite direction = no smashed you (same with almost all other vehicles)

b) Primary fire is also usefull for knocking just about anything off course, especially things that fly..

b) If you see a manta comming straight at you put a shock combo right in its face and then watch it 'splode. 1 hit from a close combo is more than enough to stop the manta for good and enough to make a serious dent in the other vehicles.

this is something marx posted about shock :wootrock:

I liked this Onslaught guide (http://www.planetunreal.com/ut2004/onslaught/) from Planet Unreal a little better, it seemed clearer to me. It has vehicle and weapons guides at the bottom. Here's a piece from it.

once you get used to playin use some hotkeys for your fav weapons...

for example i have F for the flak cannon...R for the Rocket Launcher, and the middle mouse button for my Lightning gun...it makes things a whole lot easier.

oh yeah...i like the scorpion the best
