Wow. If the pictures are any indication then the detail levels are going to be amazing. Very realistic. They ought to be able to create monsters that really scare the crap out of you. Can't wait. :D

Oh man! This puppy is uber fast!
Core clockspeed=500mhz :)
Memory clockspeed=1000mhz :)
Memory type=128-bit DDR2 :)
GeForce FX vs. GeForce4 Ti 4600=3x faster :)
Price=~$400 :(

It's cool to see them integrating some of 3DFX's ideas into the newer products. I'm an old 3DFX fan (I still have a Quantum3D Obsidian X-24 (http://www.gamersdepot.com/oldsite/rev-quantum3d-obsidian.htm) buried around here somewhere) and sure miss the Glide API! :(

OK Back on topic, When they started mentioning this card and the ones that are made to make CG movies, Well I became a little skeptical because I've heard that stuff before, BUT after seeing this picture, All I can say is WOW! The details are amazing!

The only other knock against it besides the price :blink: was this:

But one quirk to upgrading is that, like the Radeon 9700 Pro, the GeForce FX is an AGP 8X card, and you get the extra AGP bandwidth only if your PC has an AGP 8X motherboard.
But that can be remedied! :D

Thanks for posting this Behind You?! :)

This card and technology will be a must have in my opinion. ;) I am glad I waited, after reading many articles on it compared to the Ati 9700.

Well, I could pass my ATI 9700 Pro down to my grandson and get me one. That is if I can get it past Devilish. :lol: :lol: :lol:

She's working too much. Don't get me wrong, she loves it. Yesterday, she went in just to meet some big wigs coming by her store. Then I got a call here for her to open today because this guy's girlfriend is in hospital, a good reason. Funny thing, I think she was still at store... :D

Good. I'm glad she found something she loves to do. I don't think you can do that too much. :)

It's exciting whenever a new chipset comes out, and especially since the GF4 was fundamentally not much different from the GF3, whereas this one has some intriguing features. I cna't wait until they get it out, and it is run through it's paces beside the 9700 Pro, to see which has better performance and quality. I love both the nvidia cards I've had, but unless the FX can best the 9700 like the 9700 did the GF4 (which I own and am quite happy with, btw) it's going to be hard to sell them at $400 when the 9700 Pro can be had for less than $280 now.
