what to do?

I have the option of joining 1 of 2 clans. 2 clans have offered me a spot in there with them. I can either join one of them or I can go my own way with my friends maybe 4 or 5 of us and call it TI or something liek that. The reason that I dont want to join one of these clans is cuz I dislike their tags.. should the tags matter or no?

No. It is the clan behind the tags that matters. But ultimately the choice is yours.

The main point should be the other people in the clan. If u like them the tags doesn't matter. IMO

Ive found a clan and joined up disregardless of the tags. I actually dont mind them its just one part of them that I dont like. I wont mention what clan until the leader (s) announce it.
