I have a VCD, and I was told you can play it on a computer...what software do I need?

I am not sure, just going on a hunch here, but you might have to have a dvd rom in your puter to be able to play them. If not that, atleast a decoder card. It has been a while since I messed with that, but I once had a dvd rom, but not the decoder card and I couldn't watch dvds (think it might have had something to do with upgrading to win me, not sure)

I dunno, maybe someone else can help.

thanks for your help grimmy...unfortunately I dont have a dvd drive :(
I will try finding some software...there has to be some...maybe a divx codes?

That might work. I played around a little bit with divx, but then I got xp home ed. and I didn't have to mess around at all with that hehehe

If you have a VCD, I'd suggest wearing a condom, maybe taking some penicillan....

You need a program called POWER DVD to play VCD..

Or anyother player that will play DVD's..

If you can't get it ..let me know..

Power DVD is the best player it can play all Video formats

windows media player plays them just fine,,, you have to go to open file and find it,,, it will have a kaoke file and others,,, just click on them until one opens, the movie will play,,, if it is a rip of a movie then you might need to get the DIVX codecs from MS, I got about 10 VCD's, they work in any cd rom player,, they are blocky looking,,, but cheap....
