i'd have to give it a 9.3/10 simply because it flowed so well from start to finish.

hmmm, a very tough decision indeed. It is a classic Miyazaki, no doubt. I think it deserves a 9.....BTW, I believe we should have a daily "review an anime" topic, what do you think?

you now why all of Miazaki's work isn't in North America? It's because DISNEY owns all the rights to the old stuff and wont release it :(

simply cause its the only Anime i have truly watched.

and it was amazing. but all other anime has no appeal to me.

No, I have most of all his movies either on VHS or DVD....some on VCD

PM was pretty darned cool. However, i have been spoiled by Nausicaa, which i felt was infinitely superior. I know it's unfair but i kept comparing the two, which oddly i did not feel compelled to do with Miyazaki's other works.

Rating:
If i hadn't seen Nausicaa: 8/10. Some amazing visuals and a truly unique style.

Having seen Nausicaa: 6/10. I was quite bored at times. It all felt too familiar and, well, overdone.

When it's finally released down under i'll buy it and give it another spin regardless. I have a feeling i'll enjoy it a lot more second time around. <thumbs up>
