Okay, not really that bad. However, I have a friend who is a reseller, and she has been kind enough to hunt down dates for this board. She called MSI today, and they told her that nVidia was having 'production problems' with the chipset, and that the chips won't ship until Feb1. Now, I don't know when a release date will be from the card manufacturers. I had read that nVidia was going to make all the chips themselves and ship them to the board makers, so it looks like maybe March? or longer? Has anyone heard anything about this? :WTF:

They had a delay with the Geforce 4 cards when they came out too. I don't think they have ever gotten a card out on time. But I would rather see then delay it and fix the problems before they ship it.

Not only that, but what about the fan? 'The Dustbuster'? My system isn't super quiet, but it doesn't sound like a shop vac either....hmmm. I guess we'll have to see.

Yes, I would be very sad if nVidia did something foolish to slit their own throats as 3DFx did. I'm assuming (hoping) that they had another very good reason for the move, and that they will continue making great products, but it's been shown so many times that it is very easy to slip in consumer computer ware. Packard Bell was once the king of retail computers.
