Anyone else playing this game? Its goddamn ****ing scary, its about 15 hours in length if you go for everything. There are a few bugs and the Invisible War/Deadly Shadows game engine really isnt that great, but the game is fun........

So...I'm on level 9, "Robbing the Cradle", which is a haunted Orphanage.....children screams in the background etc. If you thought that Painkiller/the trigens in Farcry were disturbing, check this game out. Its petrifying.....even worse than Silent Hill 2, one of the scariest games ever (except "The Haunted Cathedral" from the original Thief....if you havent played that, you do not know fear).

Anyway, I recommend it to those who want to play an intelligent stealth game (and atone for your sins of playing Manhunt).

manhunt is pretty hard, as for theif, i do not enjoy intelligent games, games are supposed to be fun not intelligent, thats like terminators and stuff and matrix with the Artificial Intelligence and whatnot
I'll stick to the shoot 'em ups thank you =S

Whats wrong with an intelligent game? Most intelligent games are the most fun.

i guess it all depends.
shoot-em-ups can be nice stress relievers.
being in a game that gives you no real clues and requires you
to try every damn thing before being able to move on,
well those can be really irritating.
i hate that type of repetition in a game, especially when you
have to do a bunch of stuff to get to where you repeat it each time.
for thief 3 - DS, I found it too slow and uninteresting. maybe
if i was more patient. if you see me in sam, you will notice
that is my playing style also. no crouching in shadows for me...

Ah, but with games surely you equate something that has depth and is fun as intelligent?

lol, i played through sam se when it first came out (not mp tho, but i wish)
i sucked and was playing it on easy. some segments (not levels,
but action sequences!) would take me days to clear at an acceptable health.

that was great fun. not intelligent though. looking back, some of
the level design stuff was very.... not well done.

but anyways defining intelligence.... in some games that is cool,
in others it gets in the way of the story. like half-life, i thought the
story was fantastic, very well integrated into the game. in other
games the story can be something that bogs down the gameplay
that you have to muddle through every time you come upon it.
lord forbid if you are given "information" that you have to note
also at the same time. that can be more of a pain.
at the other end of the scale you have games that are essentially
"find the button and push it". shooters shoudn't pretend to have
long story lines. think of unreal II and how it sucked on so many
levels. (other things were cool, but woulda coulda shoulda)
