I'm still having issues connecting to sam, but now its even more interesting because even when I'm not connected to the internet, when i simply click upon the join game button and the server box pops up, I get this loud, annoying feedback coming through the speakers. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH SAM PEOPLE!!!

guys, no offense, but cut the crap.

This is getting really annoying as I really wanna play sam. That, and is there some port Mcafee has not opened that I should?

well, you can try reinstalling your sound drivers.
really though, I would probably suggest a full wipe and reinstall.
like put a new drive in as master and make your current drive secondary,
and install windows to the master. that should fix things.
debugging a bunch of weird hardware errors.... is just not really possible.

if you want, you can try:
1) doing a restore install of windows
2) the latest audio & video drivers
3) the latest directx

one of those may work for you

thx Jim, I know my sound drivers are outdated so maybe that is the culprit. However, as I am unknowing of how exactly to go about what you're saying I should do, any chance we could chat outside GM. MSN or AOL?
