I need some more explaining. I keep getting this error from windows and want to know why it says I need it, but it can never install them.

Hope to hear back soon!

With all the problems you have, I don't see any other solution than a complete reformat.

gah, I'm sorry guys, the pic is up now. I've been really preoccupied today. The other day I dropped all my spyware guards and shields and have spent the past 2 hrs scanning and removing bots. This is probably due to the nature of my dial up.

Reformatting...something I've often considered, than remembered all the reasons why I don't.
A) I don't really have any idea how to reformat a hard drive
B) I don't have all the installation disks for my programs (i.e. Photoshop)
and C) I have dial up and reformatting would kill any updates that I've gotten over the past 6 monthes. I can't afford to go getting rid of all of those. If anybody knows where I could get a disk wiht all the updates on it, I may consider it, but until then, I have to keep fighting. I have SP2 disk (grrr) so that ones unnecessary.

caged, if you have p2 disk, thn you should be ok. after os install, install sp2 then instalkl all the drivers. there are only about 15 minutes of uodates you need to do after that for the os on windows update. once a system has ben effected, you are better and safer to reformat because your security has already been breached. also rename your pc upon installation to something different then you had. same goes for user name and password.

I need to know which OS you are running because I may have a solution for you. Are you running Professional or Home Edition XP etc.

Now Bigg's mention something very important - security has already been breached if that is the case then I wouldn't take a chance.

um, Home edition XP, but why are you guys saying my security has already been breached? I have more guards/shields/firewall protection I think than the national security archives, lol
