To my computer:
"It has been a long and trying fight. I injected windows XP Home Edition into your brain and told you to run. In response, you have thrown viruses, trojans, spybots, adware and system failures in my face in acts of open defiance. You lock my internet, cause my drivers to fail, and refuse to let me play sam. I tried with all my might to use iro fist-like order to you, but to no avail.
With this in mind, I give you my Declaration of Surrender. As of the end of the week, I shall remove the dictatorship of Windows XP and reinstate a Millenium Edition style of loose government. The drive will be reformatted to a better state of mind. In return, you shall capitulate to my rule and cease these uncalled for and truely disdainful actions posthaste.

I know you all say boo to ME, but the truth is this, sam worked fine on ME, my internet didn't freeze on ME, and hardly any viruses (with the exception of mail viruse) are written. I think I will go with ME and wait for microsoft to come out with a new OS. The i will go back to XP

if it was my computer, i would smash it into tiny bits and then burn the tiny bits and then put the burnt tiny bits into a container. then buy a new computer and keep the container of burnt tiny bits close to it.... just so it knows..... :hmmm:

OUTLAWS Tip

Wipe your pc clean.
Install XP.
Get Xp Updates, helps if you have a disk with them on it before you go online.

Tip = Never had a virus or trojan take over his PC. Have good antirus installed and updated. Using AVG myself right now for free. Run Ad-Aware, Sypbot search and destroy and recently added SpySweeper every other week. I have XP auto upload the newest updates and just be carefull downloading and installing software from sites you are not positive about.

Works for me.
I think XP rocks. If you are carefull and can find a problem quickly enough, you can use the restore and be back to where you were yesterday in 10 min. I have used it serveral times to go back and fix something messed up that would have taken a lot of time to fix manually.

Okay, I gotta get in here real quick!!!!

This is how I do it every time.

Upgrade disc is fine, it has all the stuff the full home does, only, during the installation, you will need a previous OS disc, to verify you are actually upgrading, then you will put your upgrade disc back in to finish the install.

First off, get the following programs onto a disc and have them ready for install.

1) Zone Alarm, free version
2) AVG Anti-Virus with key code, free virsion
3) Adaware, latest free version
4) SpyBot S&D, latest free version
5) Google toolbar, popup blocker, free

After you've got the OS installed, put these programs in before connecting online. Get them all set up and installed, and configured

As soon as you go online, your gunna start getting crap wanting to connect to your computer, and your computer is going to want to connect out. Deny everything with Zone Alarm. Zone Alarm is your failsafe, so you can choose what you want to go out and come in.

Now, get your virus definitions updated, then your adaware and SpyBot updated, and then go to microsoft and get your updates. I personnally don't want SP2 so that choice would be yours. After everything is updated, then go ahead and run SpyBot, Adaware, and your AVG.

After all this, you should be good to go.

The reason I always put Zone Alarm in first is because XP has a lot of vulnerablities and the fiirewall will help control those open ports until you get your patches from Microsoft.

I hope this helps, and good luck.

P.S. Something else that is really nice to have in your program files is this little program called WinSockFix just in case you lose your connection to the net. Alot of times, Adaware, or Spybot may remove a Browser Helper Object (BHO) and take away your socket.
