Which is better?

I want to tweak my Radeon 9000 card a bit to better perform and am lost. For Open GL, which do i want mroe of, quality or performance?
For Direct3D, quality or performance?

What you are asking is basically a preferance question. I would adjust them to tolerable levels. (by that I mean if you start to see jaggy screens from adjusting them to high, then turn the option down a bit until it goes away)
