those guys are ok at the game but nothing special. they shoot rockets all the time and thats about it. i owned them all already. i particular dislike the spamming but that's the way most of you play now. hardly any talent in the games now. no biggie, the game is dead unless you just want to kill the lame:thumbs: i would say there are about 5-6 good players out there and it's almost hardly ever to get a good fun game. there is always someone spamming, pupping and what ever. in my eyes, there is no more quality in the game. just a bunch if kids that like to curse and chat at each other. really, it's pretty gay.

what does that mean? ofcourse it's a game but they are not competitive. rarely you may get a few talented players in the game but the majority of them are spam fests along with being in the middle of a few chatting in the game like it's msn messenger or something. i started playing ut death match and the people in those games act civil. today you have a bunch of ***s using aliases and acting like a bunch of 2 year olds. there is nothing you can do about it anymore but play other games. i am learning ut's death match and when i can manage to figure out the weapons and the maps, i will move to that 100%.

i beg to differ. the game is not the same. i will use an example also. i was in a game with death engineer and someone else who was good and there were other players there that kept cursing and bad mouthing people including insults toward de. you may find the game the same but my opinion is different. oh and i don't moan when i lose. if someone beats me they earned the win unless i came in extremely late and that's why they beat me but i still don't moan. i also do not gloat but i do enjoy winning which i usually do with an 95% win rate. i do not understand what you mean by the moan and groan :rolleyes: .

If you start playing utk4 or utk3 or utk at that matter.Well maybe this is not the case for everyone but...

double damage in utk4 with mignium is pretty much the same has lazer in yodeller with serious damage.

now bear in mind i did not play that much but enough to become pretty good (some games anyways when i know the level it helps)
On a side note i havent played utk4or3 for maybe 3 months but still.


When i was playing good players id manage some good frags and some good wins.Sniper is cheap in that game because it's to easy to use.When not lagging it's hard to miss your target.(maybe head shots are more demanding but even then.

anyways i was going to say that......A good way to win when there quite a few players with no newbs but normal players with a few good players.


take a booster plus double damage switch mignium and spamofesto everybody.With a few well placed dodges to avoid sniper or lightening gun shots i should say.You 've acheived 10frags already(aim the head)Then if your still alive spam a few rockets to there feet still in double damage.And your up a notch again .Basicly if you let the other player have the double damage you lose.

Now this does not apply to lets say 10 awseome players playing in one game but basicly for the time i played it applied itself to most of the games being played outthere.

sorry if anyone disagrees but basicly i took a few demos and if its not the mignuim its the lazer.The fact is spam is part of that game too.

die hard huggy. if i leave a game it's never because i am getting owned. like the villains server and the italina server, they both make me lag too much that the game is in slow motion and i have to constantly kill the people 2-3 times before they die. it gets frustrating to see someone winning when the shouldnt be. it happends all the time but at time i will still join and hopefully get lucky with no lag. i am sure none of you have ever owned me and if so please post the screenies. i also leave the game if i have a phone call and i can not play. i usualy only play while i am working and i have 5-10 minutes or longer. thats the only reason i play is to kille the time between the project i am working on.


ai--i may use a pup if i enter a game at the game is almost over with no chance of winning but usually i dont. if you are saying i was in the game the whole time and used pups while you were going flawless, tha is incorrect and you know that. i do think you are one of the st players out there today but you should know better as to my style and skills. you know i am one of the most fairest players. i am sure many of the players will say i am extremely fair when they respawn next to me and dont have a weapon or lagging i will not shoot them. it depends the game though and the person.

jiminator, you say i win alot but leave if i am getting owned. first, i will say this in front of all the skilled players tha hve played me and i have played. i never leave a game if i am getting owned. first of all i have never been owned. the best players of sam know i will be neck and neck with them to the finish and they will agree. now if i come into a game when the persn winning has a 10-20 point lead, i will not say it was me getting owned. i also will leave a game where i feel there is no skill involved but just a bunch of people camping and spamming. the only reason i may leave is 1-i find it boring 2-i am busy and have something else to do.

fs--ut04 i have played before but i never played death match i always enjoyed the instagib ctf matches where i have done pretty good in the past. as far has the death matches go, i am just learning it and the maps and the pickups are very difficult to me. i do like the chain gun but get killed with it all the time. the vitamins and stuff in the maps are picked up with luck bcause i do not know the maps. the game is great and i need to learn it before i ca become any kind of good player. it seems frustrating but eventually i will get it:thumbs:

you posted before i was done. the saints server is not configured that great and is set different to the other servers. you don't have to run a server but you can host from your system alone. you can make it private to prevent others joining in. anyone with sam can do this from there own system with sam by choosing start server. i will prefer we use our own systems so no game server can be the blame.

What a load of crap. I only know of 2 fair players while I have been playing. 9999x and one other kid from virginia. You are not one of them. You play the same respawn/spam style as everyone else. If you get frustrated, then you jump on the sd, and in a lot of games, you get frustrated easily.

unfortunately you can't be avoided. at most I only play a few games of sam a day, maybe more on weekends, very much less now than in the past because of laggage and other commitments, but damn if you are not there for many of those games, so your gameplay and style is something I am very familiar with. certainly you are a great player, you have a fast shotty, and you do not camp, in fact I think that our playing styles are probably very similiar overall. (aside from the fact that much of the time I cannot use shotty because I can't hit anything) so you make claims here and I am calling you on them. Maybe the games I see you are not representative of your overall gameplay, that is fine. but the way you view your playing style is not the way others view your playig style. As for the not replying thing, that is silly, but you are forever welcome to not reply to anything I post or any of the threads I start.

Bottem line: winning is a relative term, you can win with knowledge of how to play the map or by getting your hands dirty. If i had to classify BIGGD, i'd say he's one of the most aggressive players out there, and in some maps that may mean a high death count, i should know since i enjoy a similar style. But it DOESN'T mean that he's doing poorly, serious sam is a game of circumstances, i can get 36 spawn frags, post a screenie and claim that i'm owning the game, or be on the recieving end. I've said it once, and i'll say it again (and fs has my back on this one), screen shots mean nothing.

people get mad because i said i don't get owned which i still feel is accurate. die hard said i leave games when i am losing and that is not the case. have i ever left a game? yes most likely but not because i was losing. one of the best players leaves the game sometimes when he is losing but i would never say he left because he was getting owned. because i called someone on saying that i was getting owned because it's not true everyone wants to jump on me and make crap up. if i join a server and i am getting lag where i can not move right and get killed 4-7 times in a row, that is not ownage. if anyone who has played me sees that i have no kills and all deaths, they will also agree i am having a problem. i am willing to play anyone to prove to them they can not own me and i would even bet on the game if they were willing to. i have never discredited anyones game that i know is a good player so they shouldnt either. i will except all challenges without fear.

the biggest improvement that helped for a smoother game was changing swap file to the other hard drive. i also now that matching video quality to your bandwidth helps because it reduces latency up and down. i think that the engine is flawed and there is no real fix for it until the next version of sam arrives. can you imagine they used the same netcode:eek: ?

by the way nitro is a vey good player and when he want to be serious in a game, he can do well. he has beaten me also but i also have beaten him. the reason i asked him to reply was bcause he is a skilled player. i know all the skilled players that pla today know how i play. i take my losses like a man (sure, i hate to lose). i know if asked, all the good players would say i am not easy to beat as i say it regarding them. you don't own anyone in this game unless you win by 15 or higher. and if you beat someone that has a record of winning by more than 10, chances are they are getting lagg.

the biggest improvement that helped for a smoother game was changing swap file to the other hard drive. i also now that matching video quality to your bandwidth helps because it reduces latency up and down. i think that the engine is flawed and there is no real fix for it until the next version of sam arrives. can you imagine they used the same netcode:eek: ?
dunno, i have done everything. i think it is just some random streaks when I can play that my shots are dead on, the movement is smooth, the jumps are precise, the knifing is quick. the rest of the time I can't describe it, the action is not jerky, but it feels teeth-grittingly jerky and imprecise. Have some 7 people join and then it is all I can do to get a kill, that's if I don't get dropped... It did not use to be this way last year...

yes yes i leave if i am doing bad but that is cuz i dont want to be on a screenshot when i had death even with my kills and someone saying they pwned me when in reality they didnt and i jsut had a bad game because of who knows why.
Yes man, u have skill but as you say, you dont try to keep your deaths low and just go into fights adn thats very cool with me cuz i used to do that and it was very fun :)

I think that a majority of people would get perfects or cklsoe to it (since spam is sometimes unavoidable) if they tried becasue ALOT of people have skill its just that they dont use it for same reasonss i dont use it sometimes.
First of all, if puts STRESS on the players (and dont we play this game to get RID of stress?)
also, you would have to concentrate on everything all the time which i guess falls into the stress category.
I guess the most fun you can have these days is on an alias so noone posts a screenie here saying "I just pwned (insert name here) mwhaahaha"

Bottem line: winning is a relative term, you can win with knowledge of how to play the map or by getting your hands dirty. If i had to classify BIGGD, i'd say he's one of the most aggressive players out there, and in some maps that may mean a high death count, i should know since i enjoy a similar style. But it DOESN'T mean that he's doing poorly, serious sam is a game of circumstances, i can get 36 spawn frags, post a screenie and claim that i'm owning the game, or be on the recieving end. I've said it once, and i'll say it again (and fs has my back on this one), screen shots mean nothing.

This whole thread is hilarious to me. I can play "real" online multiplayer games and never see the same person twice. Yet you all manage to let this game get and stay under your skin. Someone give me one reason why any of your so called points matter. This isn't even league or ladder playing you are discussing. The major problem with this game is the community is so small for the online aspect of it, that everyone knows everyone. (which is a bad thing, since players tend to take games more personal)

LaSH and Bigg’s are the most aggressive players in SAM2. They not only win 75% of there game but they score very quickly. FS and Dan are aggressive in similar ways but they do play cautiously. I on the other hand do not win many games but I try to not die much and go after players that have shotguns because I enjoy a one on one challenge like LaSH, Bigg’s, Dan and FS etc. Basic scripts and tweaking is essential to the game for better or to improve the connection and smoothing out the game. I can tell you now that because I have done it now only because this time I had the time to do it that I can now go up against anyone one on one and hold my ground in a dual face to face because of improving the settings for the game. I have my bad days which is part of the game and I know I am not reliable but at times I can’t even get a shotgun which is the only weapon I like to go after. IF I find myself getting a rocket and blasting away, it is because I am trying to clear a path to get me a shotgun or if I run into someone that I have no choice but to use what ever means to survive just to get to a shotgun.

Let me just say that when I didn’t tweak the game I was getting my as* own by everyone. When I would play Bigg’s or LaSH it was no match because I couldn’t even come close to them to make the kill but since I have made changes I have taken them out and Bigg’s can tell you and when rockets at the hole are being shot at me especially in the center I been able to easily knock them off and make the kill. I also like to go to the center and wait for someone to popup and I would attack using shotgun knowing that I may get killed by others from the top but enjoy going up against anyone face to face in an open field. I do not jump very well and move as smooth as most people but I know that when someone is in front of me to battle I can hold my ground at times against any player.


I still love and hate it and the game has changed a lot and I don’t have to explain how it changed because many of you guys know what I mean. Losing or winning doesn’t matter to me at times and I can find myself wanting to win a battle more then winning the game especially against an excellent player who uses a shotgun on a one on one battle.

I can be 10 and 35 but if I know I have dual a battle with the best and did well then I say I have won because I can honestly say that I am improving the game. What I know for a fact is many are competitive because that is what the game is all about but also to have fun but many of us take it to a point and I am on the list as well but that is what this game does and why we still play it.


Just my own views or opinion. . . .

I take it back what I said about taking on anyone one on one because I just got owned by a guy name Yo Ugly Face. I thought I can take and can hold my ground once in a while against any player but Yo Ugly Face was the name made me think differently. LOL

I was Owned by him in everyway. . . . LOL

I think I realize that I can never be any good at this game and that there is a limit to my potential in playing SAM. LOL

Not sure why maybe having trouble with your connection or something but I didn't see any signs of it so I am curious to know why and what problem you was having.
