well i would not trust that memory right now as it is just overclocked. there is no spec or certified ram at that speed. but..... i think you at least want pc3200 ram if you are making the investment because if you have an amd setup , the rumors are 400mhz fsb for the xp chips in a few months. i also think thats too expensive and memory prices have fallen afew (mainly ddr) so buy what you use but plan for future so you are not stuck with old crap.

I have to agree with Bigg on that, it seems like a high price for OC RAM. I look at all the info I could on those, and they never say "true" or anything like it, so they are likely OCed chips, found to be stable by their standards. Now, Geil hand-picks their chips for high-performance, and they test it a ton, and I think they will back it up if it fails, but you'd have to read the warranty. It might be better to get less speed on a 1 gig chip, especially CAS 2 stuff. I'd have no problem owning Geil RAM, though, they are a quality maker, I just don't know how much you'd gain with current chipsets.
I looked at Geil chips before I went to Crucial for my 2700 2.5 DDR. I like Crucial for their solid chips, and great customer-friendliness. There is faster, better RAM, to be sure, but if only all online companies ran things the way Crucial does.

Look at the timings on this stuff and the price too. I was eyeing the C2 2700 stuff :D

Makes ya drool a bit! Corsair is great RAM, of course, and if you try 2.5 next to 2, you will see a difference, it is more responsive.
