Lets see if I can put this up here correctly.

My role in a group is, I don't get many groups.. so I went with a more solo, duo minstrel template and gave up stealth. I can still run 8v8 just not as well as Saan's template. But in a 1v1 fight with a stealther or anything really I will have a good chance to win.

P.S. If anyone has a Respec stone I would love to buy :) I need to spec out of stealth to 50 inst 39 slash 18 stealth.

OK, droped the ROG gloves with +7 to str, and traded for MP gloves and raised my resists. Enough or do I need more?

I really hope you will NEVER get someone with a legenday spirit weapon, beside that is a solid template to solo/duo, not very good in a 8 man grp

1) Lots of nice items and bonuses
2) Some weak resists

I would try to achieve more balance if it was me.

The only items I need are GoV and GoLM, I have the rest and all arty's other then those 2 are lvl 10 and ready to go.

The resists do bother be some, energy at 9 and spirit at 5 suck in all honesty, but those are both buffed by the clerics resists, so that helps in 8v8. I'm running with AoM2, and plan on getting AoM3 with more rsp's.

Still not sure though =/

Enough of a change? Spirit still sucks, but templates are like a game of chance imo, you can't have everything you want, so I chose somethings to be better then other things in hope that I can get by with it.

Not sure though, still give any advice please, I mean this means ANOTHER freaking MP piece :(

That looks better Joe if you are going to like you say, solo most of the time. It's tough to get everything in. :bawling:

BTW if you ran in groups more with a cleric to help heal, I think you could do without the extra hits and then work in the Ancient Copper Necklace to up your resists.

If you're a VISABLE opponent: ALL resists above 20%, try to peak at LEAST the resists on most frequented opponents (ie if you see a ton of light elds running around, cap the heat... etc). When using CTR in conjunction with 20%+ resists, you're only recieving partial absorbtion benefit (about 3%) but it's great combined with aom.... my suggestion would be make sure to pump those melee resists to 26's in such a case. You can blow more rsp's for higher aom to make up for the caster resists till you get a better template. Also keep in mind your armor is weak to cold/thrust. Try to make sure not to skimp there. Nothing like accentuating a weakness by igroring it.

If you intend to be a group toon, spec to stay alive and have a ton of power. Your job is to run around the fight interupting, locking things down, and generally annoying your opponents mercilessly. In small groups, larger ammounts of con/hits is going to make the fight last a bit longer, giving you more of a chance to locate a weakness in your opponent or proc your i-win effects. I've seen you attempting there to cap hits and almost ignoring con. Both are very important to that class.

As for the template? The suggestion that I always dish out is shoot for higher utility items. 62's and below aren't all that impressive when there are such more potent things floating around. Kraken, Fire Island, Bracer of Zo encounter, Eirene's Hauberk encounter, ML6 bg steps, ML8 group steps, ML10, and Darkness Falls end game mobs are some places to look for decent items of rogue relation. I try to find items with more stats like GoV when creating templates. Needed ToA bonus AND stat cap increases on the same item. Otherwise use items that only have one of those things and high utility.

I'm going to be working on a friend's minstrel template shortly. If you don't mind an insane scavanger hunt, after it's complete and his items have been obtained, I'll share it with you if ya like. I'm fairly impressed with what we've come up with so far, just trying to squeeze out about 50 more usable utility into it.

Beside that....heat cold and spirit are a must also in solo/duo for the legendary wep problem: I prefear having a critical resist capped and 40 less hp overcapped than getting tri shotted by the first player with a legendary weapon.
If you also plan to grp sometime you can do a template without som who is good only in solo/duo imo and put in a cloak with high utility, there are several like darkflame cloak who are not very expensive.

That's very similar to the solo minstrel template that I put together. My biggest suggestion is to forget about GoLM. You're already losing 1 of the 2 style damage and it'll give you 2% more melee damage than you listed...big deal imo. Especially since you don't already have it I would go with something high utility. Perhaps Harpy Feather Charm. Your quickness is also lower than what I would like. I'm not sure what to do about that, but maybe a new gem will help you switch around some SCing. SoM, WH, high hits, and high AF are going to go a long way toward keeping you alive in melee...I like that. Here's what I'm using (well not really using, but would use if I could ever find the time to play my minstrel). Battler on my back and Phoebus to summon the harp. Band of stars is to further gimp an opponent and not so much for the stats. I am a highlander, hence the low cold resist depending on the +5 racial. You have most of these items already I think, and none of them are insanely hard to get. You could probably work around using CTR instead of RoD also.
