Be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out! This is not one of those waste of time things, it's fun.

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to have a pint or a glass or two of wine. (try for more than once)

2. Multiply this number by 2 (Just to be honest)

3 Add 5. (for Sunday)

4. Multiply it by 50 I'll wait while you get the calculator................

5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755. If you haven't, add 1754

6. Now subtract the four-digit year that you were born.

You should have a three-digit number

The first digit of this was your original number
(i.e., how many times you want to have a pint week).

The next two numbers are .......

YOUR AGE! ~ (Oh YES, it IS!!!!! )

It doesn't matter haw many times I drink a week, the calcs always come out wrong! It says I'm 29, when I am actually 28 instead.

(((x * 2) + 5) * 50) + (birthday?1755:1754) - birthdate = y

250 + 100X + (birthday?1755:1754) - birthdate = y

100X + (birthday?2005:2004) - birthdate = y

so say i have 5 drinks, birthday of 2/8/65,

100 * 5 + 2005 - 1965 = 540

is it amazing or is it simple math?....

This should also work; 250 + 1755 or 1754 if you haven't had your birthday yet this year, then subtract your birth year.

I think the If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755. If you haven't, add 1754 concept is tripping him up...

Didn't David Copperfield do something similar to this on one of his specials?

eh, you can easily sucker people with the math tricks. ultimately they are a simple equation that the then add multiply divide & subtract numbers to in order to obscure the fact that it is a simple equation.... kind of like a tv magician trick where they ask you to think of a number and then add math so that the final result is what he is pointing to....

Jim, were you trained as an accountant? Not for your prowess in Maths but because as part of the training don't they suck all the fun out of you with a big syringe?
