Bucharest to build race circuit

Bucharest will build a motor racing circuit of more 3.115 kilometres (1.93 miles) around former communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu's palace, the city's Mayor said on Thursday.
The circuit will be called Road City and will host a stage of the European Touring Car Championship, mayor Adrian Videanu told journalists.
The stadium will hold up to 94,000 people and will be placed in front of Ceausescu's vast palace which now houses the Romanian parliament and Bucharest's new modern art museum.
Videanu said construction work would start in autumn.
