1: I'm glad I'm poor!

2: That sucks for all those who waited for it

3: :bandhead: I was really hoping the prices would drop on the G-4 TI4800 cards :bandhead:

I kinda hope that is not how it turns out, but it was starting to get odd that it's now February, and we are getting the promotion we usually see for a launch of a new chipset. Maybe they are going to rethink it's shortcomings, and jump straigh to FX-2? I know they would love to have a card that without question or deviation surpasses the 9700 Pro, and the FX, though close, just ain't there.

That sucks. O well, will just have to wait longer. Will give me more time to find some more games! :wootrock:

I don't have any release projections for ATI's R350, the follow-up to the 9700, but if you want to buy a Ferrari video card, it will likely smoke the competition. nVidia, if they are going to hold the FX, is either having real problems with the card, which they will fix and improve, or are just looking to a real mofo chipset to grab king-of-the-hill status again. It's all good....unless you were waiting and waiting to upgrade your GF2-or-less card reall soon. But, even then, the 9700 Pro can be had for $270. (http://www.buyxtremegear.com/powatirad97p.html)

Interesting.
Too loud and just couldn't beat up the 9700 Pro.

That is the Inquirer, a respected industry news source, not the Enquirer, or National Enquirer, the trash rag focusing on aliens and Michael Jackson.
