The cool thing is that you can fly with a jet pack, operate vehicles, and has many game types.

Yes. It has multiple game modes too. Capture the flag, DM, and a couple others.

Before BF: 1942 came out, Tribes 2 was the most complete, total war FPS out there, if I'm not mistaken. The maps were HUGE, and without a vehicle transport, it could take a crapload of time to get to the enemy's base. You could drive a tank or not drive but instead choose to man it's machine gun and main cannon. You could even decide to not play it like an FPS, but instead fly only the jets, bombers, and troop transports.

My all time favorite memory of that game was me and 2 friends jumping in a bomber and just bombing the heck out of the enemy installations.

Hehe.....I remember one time in one of my early games when I was still learning all the controls, I SOMEHOW ended up the pilot for one of the troop transports, which had like 4 or 5 players in it. I was flying pretty fast about as high as I could go, and I guess I hit the wrong button, cuz next thing I know I've jumped out of the plane and landed on a nearby mountain peak. Haha...with no one to fly the plane, I watched in utter horror as the transport with these 6 dudes slammed into a mountain! If I could have seen the look on those guys faces! SUCKERS!!

I highly recommend this game for those that have yet to play it. It's only $10 -15 bucks now at any software store and there is still a huge community playing online.
