I take it you are talking about Kimi. Kimi is a great driver but don't forget consistency is what claims titles. Alonso had better consistency with his car and did not over push it to a breaking point. McLaren has a great car right now, I would love to see Alonso and Kimi go head to head in the exact same car. I am willing to bet it would be pretty equal.

Then again you might have been talking about Sato... and in that case.. yea.. what a pity. LOL! :D
