i'll get it first thing. i loved the singleplaying in all sams, and i liked the demo. i dont compare it to ssse, coz its not, and im pretty sure it will be full of nice surprises.
of course i mainly want the dm, and i think if croateam really will make an effort on the dm patch it has great potentials. there are lots of things i could complain about too. but i will wait until i finnish the first round of sam2 singleplaying a full game.
after playing then demo couple of times i even like the new shotty better than the old 1

I'll buy it, because I know I will play it. Which is more than I can say about the last two games I bought (Doom 3 and Painkiller).
And yeah, I'm not thrilled about the cartoon/console look of the game........I'll get over it though. :)

Yep, I'll buy it. It's fallen on my list - it was gonna be the highest, now it's behind Total Overdose and Quake 4, and probably Indigo Prophecy as well, but I'll buy it something. I personally buy games for the Single player, not the DM...I enjoy DM, but I'd rather have SP, so I don't mind the DM missing. The graphics don't bother me, personally, so I ought to be fine w/ it.

a little addon from my part.Being told that a game will have a feature and will have dm for 2 years in a row ,with me waiting with a certain amount of happiness because of that...And giving a piece of half coded xbox release money related piece of crap is not my idea of a good 2 year of being promised something that is not what it is meant to be = screw the hell out of you.

i would of prefered a direct and honest response from croteam saying no dm.

I don't think I'm gonna pay 30 bucks for it upon release. Maybe I'll buy it further down the road when it gets cheaper or something. The only way I would buy it is if they actually did release a DM patch and the DM was pretty good then I'd go out and get it no matter what price. That's just wishful thinking though.

I am very disapointed.I just dont like how the game feels compare to sam 2 and how the game looks.Also even if did release DM with the patch I think is going to suck.

SO what I am going to do. I am going to buy a xbox 360, buy PD zero and play the for the next years to come :) also I may play SSSE once in a while:thumbs:

I think I will just wait for the DM Patch :rolleyes: and decide if its worth spending my $$ and any of my interest and time playing it then!!

i am planning as well, i had chance to preorder it for 300 or 370 euro (cant remember). For people in UK... its Harvey Norman superstore... i think its cheap isnt it?

Jim, I can't agree with your logic regarding buying SS2. I mean if you are going to buy it because you like it or enjoy it that much is one thing but if you say you are buying it because you had fun with their earlier versions makes no sense. I don't think you owe anything to them even if you received the game free in the mail.

As for buying this game, I myself will not because to me the game is boring and it has way too many bugs which will need to be fixed after the game is purchased. I think people are too familiar with Croteam and their patches. This game will probably run flawless on a console so If you want it, get it for the console.

As for me wasting 30-20-10 bucks, no way Jose. Too many games out there that deserve my $ and time. I have made too many mistakes in 2005 wasting money on crappy games and Madden06 was the last straw. I am going to be very cheap the next year and probably stick to only 2 games and that's it.

Nah I am biulding a new PC so a cosole that costs +400$ is out of the question for like 2 years lol. I like Perfect Dark, but not that much. :D Don't like controllers either.

i want to get it but i tried the demo and my comp is too slow to run with pretty graphics. i got pent4 2ghz, geforcefx5500, 768ram. too slow so im gonna stick with second encounter

Rofl, change some settings...

I even made it run good on a 2.0ghz, 512 Ram and a ti4400 :thumbs: and still good looking graphics, not state of art but fairly good :D
