Check this out old school unreal fans!

Unreal Tournament Revolution is a full conversion modification for UT2004, bringing all the glory of the original UT game to the Unreal 2.5 Engine. This means if you own a copy of UT2004 you can reexperience the excitement and atmosphere of the game that began the legacy, with the benefit of greatly improved graphics & effects, as well as up to date patches and netcode. Don't settle for the countless attempts at "classic UT" mods which only make selected changes or fit it to the creator's tastes.. this is the real deal if you want to have "UT" in "UT2004". UTR is the result of the efforts of the community in compliance with Epic Games' EULA, and should not be considered an official game in the UT series. It is not for resale but made freely available on this website as well as its mirrors for download.

I have yet to try this, but a few new {DS} members have been raving about it. May be the next UT craze!

I started with 2004. I probably wouldn't appreciate it as much as it deserves. Is UT the one that had insane movement capabilities?

I prefer 2003 and 2004 way better than ut99...

ut99 was too much like quake... IMO

thanks for the link. Something that will be worth a nice download.

I don't think UT was too much like Quake at all. I mean--look at all the FPS's there were in 1998-2000-- they were ALL "like Quake", even the TCs like counter-strike...simply quake engine games (Half life engine used quake code) but with different weapons but "felt" like Quake. You moved like it was Quake 2 (CS changed that a bit at least). UT was different enough to stand on its own.

Proof of this is in the Quake 3 weapons (and Q2 weapons). Quake 3 was an aiming game. Unlike Quake 1--which was more of a "know the map and tactics" game. UT is a far more tactical game than Quake 3.

I like it :)

It installed nice and plays great....... You have dodge jumping but no wall or double jumping. all of the old maps (must DL the MegaMap Pack) sweet. Hmm.... I wonder if I can install it on one of our hosted servers. grinn :)
