Sam 3 Plans?

All I hope is that they learned from what happened with Sam 2 and how fast it fell off the face of the Earth.

but in all seriousness, Croteam has probably dedicated too much time towards the fragmatch patch to just abandon it...

I am pretty much done with Sam because there are so many great games out there and as for Fragging players I feel it's not for me anymore.

I think the only way I would come back to play Sam is to keep the same weapons like shotgun but improve the graphics and maps and of course the engine to play again. I just love to play with players that are so skillful without cheating.

I have to say that this holiday has been nothing but difficult for me since I been promoted and have not have the time to spend with my family and friends.

I can't wait to go out and enjoy a night out dancing or to a broadway play because I really need it.

And yes, this current trend of "waiting for a patch" reminds me of prior happenings....

do wonder what good sales for SS2 really means in perspective of say sales #'s of SSFE/SSSE tho :hmmm: i do definitely know if they had done something(s) Totally and Seriously different in SS2, teh sales #'s of SS2 should have been sky high for a long time ;)

SS:2 is F**k, so they try to create a better game. I don't understand why they created SS:2... I don't play it. SE is much better

Sorry bud but Sam hasn't been a 'decent' game since SS FE v1.05, everything else since then is total crap.

We played FE lastnight, the netcode in it seems to work better, the maps rotate the way they should after games and not one player had a F9 in the over 17 games we played. Why there are so many SE servers and so little FE servers beats me. :confused:

LOL, you people are silly. strange how everyone is pinning their hopes on a game to resurrect a gaming community that existed 3 years ago. taint gonna happen. I enjoyed the hell out of SAM2. I like shooters. So many of you are crying tears about the lack of DM or this or that. Taint gonna happen. Sure, they may release something, but it will probably suck, so why bother getting upset? The game is purely a shooter and maybe COOP. Nobody was misled. There are no big DM banners on the box. BUT.... BUT.... BUT.... they SAID???!!! Well, life is a business. It sucks, but that is the way it is. This is not UT or CS or CoD or HL or Q4. The 8 people still playing Sam DM are not really a justification IMO to focus the companies resources on. The way it is is that you spend money on things that will make you money. That means the FPS game, a platform that is compatible with XBOX, ironing the bugs out, and then the next FPS game. Sure, they probably have IGOR working on the DM patch, but again, the focus of any company has to be to make money. I enjoyed spending it. I'll do it again for their next game (if the FPS is good...)

I fully agree. I suppose I differ from most of the community in that I buy a game primarily for it's single player mode. If it has good Multi-, and I play it, all the better, but single player is the big must for me (except for UT - I buy that b/c it's great multi!)

Anyways, yeah, SS2 outta the box had issues, most of which were resolved on patch. I played through the entire game patched, didn't have any problems (except those stemming from my crappy vid card), and thoroughly enjoyed the game. Frankly, if they're going to do SS3, I'm in favor of it. I hope they completely drop the DM crap and just work on that. They're never gonna make any of the DMers happy w/ SS2 @ this point, so why bother? If you wanna gain that back, make sure SS3 has DM on release and hope it helps.
