by far!!

I would either choose XP Home, or Pro, and would take even 2000. Yet I do know how to and have serveral times crashed XP, but I have yet to see the BSOD (blue screen of death). There memory management is awesome, along with the new features. I would highly recommend it!!

I had Windows 3.1, 95, 98 and XP (both versions of it). Windows XP is most stable although I have managed to crash it three times till now  I would take Windows XP Pro.

this is a great question. i would like to say microsoft did a great job with windows xp. by far i will sya windows 2000 is the most stable but it has been out along time. windows xp is the best os from microsoft but they ruin the greatest status because of all the spyware and stuff. i enjoy it for compatibilty but would prefer win2000 for business,

I too like Windows XP pro. I do wish Microsoft would mind their own business.
Windows XP is probably the best at plug and play that I have ever seen. Never had 2000 but had 3.1, win98, worked on ME(Egad that sucked large) and now XP and I love it.
