Weird title for a frag/tricking vid but I understand what you meant. Overall I enjoyed it. It reminded me of my WMM2 ssam vid making days during which I spent countless hours on the servers trying to get vid-worthy frags. Maybe this wasn't the case for you since you seemed to have included a lot of filler footage but it didn't feel too much out of place.

I liked the music, it was a good mix and suited the action. I am glad to see that you explored WMM2 and added some interesting filters, time manipulation, and text effects. Also using an original font made the intros even more aesthetically pleasing to me. It's good to see that you threw in a diverse amount of footage and decided not to stick with the frag after frag after frag formula.

Sorry to hear that you wont be making more vids. I know that after I made my first one it became somewhat of an addiction.

Thnx for all the nice comments. Much time and effort (read: too much) are in this vid so it's nice to read that some actually like it also :cool:

Great to see that different people like different aspects of the vid. Indeed aimed for diversity and it's nice to have it worked out :thumbs:



Some usefull practical hints for those who wanna save valuable time during creating a vid also:

- Don't make demorecords longer then 2 min... really it's screwed up if you miss a great frag etc. on the end of a 20 min demo (yes you'll need to watch it all again and believe me... even 2 min take ages during moviemaking)

- Remember the frag nr when something Tapeworthy is happening, so it will be easier to find it back in the multiple demos (sometimes over 10 for a game)

- Last but not least: Rec it, Tape it and name it directly after a game. Cuz it will be fresh in the memory and at the end you just don't wanna play 100+ clips to find the correct one, plus you can delete the demos.

PS. even by following this rules it still consumes to much time :D

Answers to some questions:

- Grenade jumping was on serious difficulty
- Took me way over 20 hours for the hole project

Reason why it's probably the last is a lack of ideas, not in for producing the same kinda vid with different oponents:)

Ahh maybe I get a funny idea for a next vid and can't remember that it will be extremely bad for my time :thumbs:

However, you could have asked me to help you and I could have showed you several things that you left out of your video such as the frog jump in Hole's water temple and some jumps that weren't in Iskee's jump video or yours for that matter. I'd honestly rather see hardcore fragging then trick jumps and cheats. There were a lot of wild frags and weapon combos in Wiper's movie - that's what it's really all about. Gonzo fragfests FTW! :thumbs:

Indeed it aint the perfect movie. Afterwards you always realize something wich should be added or modified or could have been done better etc., but gotta finish it at some point.

To be honest I'm kinda proud at the results/comments afterall :cool:

And last thing: Kinda lot of cool vids are created now, maybe I nice way to promote Sam decently on the I-net.

There are no set rules for movie making. You have the freedom to do almost anything much like with any other art form.

I KNOW how to improve the image quality of the video, I KNOW what video editing programs can get you CERTAIN effects that would fit into the movie. I KNOW how to compress the movie well.

Almost everything else is based on personal taste and opinions. Some have said that they'd rather see frags than jumps/tricks in the video, but no one ever mentioned anything about the quality or the actual editing. You need to look at the movie holistically and then make critical comments about certain aspects that could be improved.

Your point holds no merit whatsoever. I only try to help. If I didn't care or didn't think I have enough knowledge to help then I wouldn't bother. Simple as that.
