I think they put a password on it so that people who don't have the maps, and try to join the server, won't take up slots because then people who have the maps won't be able to get into the server after a certain number of ppl try to join without the maps, thus, taking up the available slots.

Finnish Guy I applaud you and Figona for trying, it's a shame that the password doesn't stop them before the not having the map problem happens and screws up the server, but that is just one of Sam's problems that never got fixed.

Yes, surprisingly, in 1.05, it works no problems.
