New Blizzard Title Coming!

The new title that Blizzard is doing is on the horizon! They've already pretty much said that they're going to release the news on May 19, at their event in Korea (that hints StarCraft) and sources have said it's "World of StarCraft", though that's unconfirmed.

Blizzard is being direct now.

The home page @ www.blizzard.com has the following timeline:

WarCraft...WarCraft 2...Diablo...StarCraft...Diablo 2...WarCraft 3...WoW...

And finally a "?".

The news is only a few days away...I'm personally hoping it's not "World of StarCraft". I would prefer either SC2 or D3...but we'll know in 6 days!

Perhaps they have a new IP that they've been keeping under covers. I never really got into the Blizzard games except for Warcraft 2 several years back. I never really liked MMORPG's or RTS games so I guess I don't really care what they're gonna release.

Well the general consensus seems to be that they will be announcing Starcraft 2.

Yeah, taht seems to be the popular opinion.

It's been known for over a month that an announcement was coming on May 19.

It was a couple weeks ago that a source said they had hard info that it would be World of StarCraft, but the majority are saying that's not likely.

thats such an amazingly faked SS, thats the WC 3 cutscene border (not tryin to bash exe or anything like that mind you) i've seen LOTS of SS's of "world of starcraft" where they photoshopped in some zealots into a WoW interface and changed a couple of other UI things very VERY minorly

I think exe was referring to the article itself, not the screenie.

I wouldn't even called it "Faked"...those models are actually included in teh WC3 editor..I read something about that yesterday.

Yea I came across a post stating that that screenie was a WC3 mod and the entire article is an opinion piece which draws some good conclusions based on the facts. Whatever the game is I'm sure that it will be based on how many people will be willing to play and pay for it. WoW is doing fairly well and there isn't a huge demand for another MMORPS but the RTS genre has been lacking even with the releases of Supreme Commander, C&C 3, CoH, and others there's always room for another RTS.
