I know there are a few people here looking forward to WAR next year. Anyone here submit a beta application? If anyone has and happens to get in, give me a yell. :)

Don't wait for a confirmation email fyi. I never got one and I happened to randomly log into my war-beta account and it said I was invited. So check that often.

I think it helps if you're subscribed to their newsletter too. Under my account after the invite, it says.........

Dark Age of Camelot Subscriber
Veteran WAR Newsletter Subscriber

I'd make sure you at least have the newsletter subscription.

Sepra, have you seen the coming attractions to conan? How does one figure out what's better and will last lomg enough before its dead?

Well, I dont think there's anyone that would be able to answer such a question unless you're a prophet. :) Nobody can tell how long a game will last when it's 8months'ish before release.

I did look at the coming attractions of Conan and although the screenshots etc look impressive, I hate to waste time (as all mmo's require a significant amount of) with a company that I'm unfamiliar with as far as past releases. That's just me and my opinion.

Mythic did an amazing job with the pvp aspect of mmo's and so I'm really leaning toward WAR for my next game choice. Mythic is a big RvR oriented company (and that's my main focus when it comes to gameplay) that I've had an incredible experience the past few years with them, so I'm putting my confidence in this release of WAR.

I gave up onthe game also PJ. Honestly it just seems you have to dedicate so much darn time to do anything. I just got bored and the bugs were making me so frustrated I just had to stop. Honestly anything that requires that much of your time or life is just not worth it IMO. I need to know before I go to bed if I won or lost and that's it. PVP'ing use to get my blood pressure up so high I would want to kill. It just seemed to me those games really do not rquire any sort of skill. It's all based on time and the more time you spend playing the better you are. I can not believe how much time I wasted playing it and the amount of fallback it created because it's easy to get mixed ino it.

i feel ya there, World of Warcraft cost me SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much, and i dont mean just monetarily, but thankfully now i dont have any interest in playing the game and i might log on to a friend or two, but actually doing anything in game?...well i think i'd rather castrate myself.
