This is in reference to the past couple of threads. The problem was finally resolved upon removal of the 2 new memory modules I installed 4 weeks ago. While the first thing I did with this problem was run memory diagnostics, they came back clean. All i can deduce from this is that the sticks themselves may not be bad but the motherboard slots may be. I had never been able to test their functionality since i purchased the board in August of 06.

I will be contacting Newegg, Epox, and Corsair to see what I can do about all this. Thank you for any input you guys gave, I just wanted to let you guys know how I made out. :)

(and on a side note....there are signs that my primary HDD might be failing...DOH!...bad week to be Caged's system)

put the possibly bad sticks into the known good ram slots :) that'll answer both questions for you as to which is bad haha

CAged, I doubt the slots are bad but there could be many reason you are having problems. We can go over this if you would like and schedule a time you can contact eachother. Do you use skype?

If you have a problem and want my help you need to make sure you have all specs from os to each part of the system sent to me. Usually there is no problem and a simple setting needs to be changed. Let me know and we can setup meet.
