hello everyone,
i have came here to see if there is some thread about TF2 and whoa, i found the whole section! its good to see there are so many old folks playing some game.
now i`ll tell you how did i get to buy this game. last sunday i started playing half life episode 2 and finished it at 2am next day. then i finished it again with developers comments. i was(and still am) deeply impressed about almost everything in ep2. i wish i could work in valve as a programma. i liked it so much i decided to get half life 1 source(original hl in source engine) but ouch, couln`t find it anywhere on the net. no torrents, no DC, nothing. so i took a look at steam pages and whoa, hl source for blazing 10$! i downloaded steam and legally bought it. my third game bought for past 18 years :D :o. today i was searching for some info about source engine(its multithreading is really great, it can use any number of cores. for example unreal engine 3 or crytech 2 can use dual core only) and found this (http://www.valvesoftware.com/publications/2007/NPAR07_IllustrativeRenderingInTeamFortress2.pdf). on steam later today i found package with TF2, garys mod, source SDK and some more stuff only for 35$, so today i bought my fourth game :rolleyes:. garys mod looks interesting.
yeah i know noone is interested in my exciting story and sho wants to ban me for saying word torrent, but i wanted to say hello to everyone here and maybe we could do some tournaments. i`ll take a look at villains forums to see if someone else is playing it. also i`ll be on on teamspeak or on some ingame voice chat because i really need to practice my crappy spoken english as i go to an english exam next month.
