Monitor Flickering when first turned on

When I first turn on my monitor, or when it goes into sleep mode(for longer than a few minutes) and I wake it up, the monitor will flicker and go between having a display and being a solid picture. This flickering lasts for around 90 seconds to 2 minutes, and afterwards the monitor is fine until I turn it off or it goes into sleep mode, and then the process repeats itself.

Anyone have any idea what this means or of a way to fix it?

LCD or CRT, guessing CRT

I'd say your monitor is on its way out

Yeah it's that LCD that marz barz posted. I bought the monitor 12/15/05 and it says it has a 3 year warranty, do you think I should start talking to them about a possible replacement?

I would plug it into another pc... see if it dose the same thing.
