Meh. I was rather disappointed. I think it could have been done much better. I grew up with Speed Racer, among other classics.
The movie was TOO fast paced. The race scenes switched back and forth between camera angles so fast that half the time you didn't know who was who, except for Speed having the only white car.
Too much neon colors, too much scene switching, too many faces being wiped back and forth across the screen.
And as for John Goodman, I kept expecting him to yell "Wilma!" He looked way too much like Fred Flinstone with a mustache.
Not a movie I would watch again.
