FACTS 2008 cosplay pics

Hello everyone,

This weekend I visited the annual FACTS convention (Fantasy Anime Comics Toys and Space) in Ghent, Belgium.

The convention is a big shopping area where dealers sell their stuff but there are also a lot of side activities:

ddr
xbox gaming
Star Wars, Stargate SG1 and Star Trek fanclubs
...

and
a Cosplay contest (Costume Play: people dress up as a character from an anime, film or TV-series and compete for prizes)

I took some pics of dressed up visitors, here's a tiny selection:

When I first became aware of cosplay it was from pictures of a bunch of guys dressed up as stormtroopers and various other characters from movies and video games, and I thought, wow, get a life. :rolleyes:

Since then I've realized that a lot of rather attract women enjoy doing this too. And they aren't shy about putting on skimpy outfits from some of the MMORPGs. So yeah, cosplay is a good thing. :D
