I beat it several times, I love the concept of the game and how it's set so far back into the 50's. It really plays it off well with the background music and just the way the game is played and looks..Look at my achievements on it in my sig :P

I love the look/graphics/music/etc, but the feel of the game made me sick. Having to shoot/watch children be shot to make progress in the game is pretty sick IMHO.

I never once shot a Little Sister and saw her die. Anyway the point of the game it to play along with the story and choose whether to save the little sisters or harvest them. I don't think you can shoot and kill one.

You aren't referring to the "feel" of the game, you are referring to the moral undertones that support the game's plot. The game "feel" is very bleak, isolated, and eerie.

IMO it's very close to what a perfect game would be. A nice blend of FPS and RPG along with some puzzle elements and a great original plot. I would play through it at least once.

DE must not have actually played the game. you can 'harvest' children or you can save them depending on the type of game you want to play. you can't kill them, or can't kill kids in pretty much any game that I have played. great game, very nice story, probably as good as I have seen.

It's just too dark for me. I have not played the full version though -- just the demo. And I very well could have been confused on the child thing. While you don't shoot them, I think you witness someone else doing so (harvesting or whatever). Like I said, too dark for me. Cool graphics though.

I borrowed it for the Xbox. I played about an hour and didn't like it. For one it was too dark for me.

its a fun game, i borrowed it from a friend and played through it
fun story, good concept, great music (rly went for the tinny soundtrack)
didn't have any trouble running it once i updated the drivers and turned down the graphics options

I tried to buy it through Steam but I just ordered some RAM and evidently my CC only allows one transaction at a time. Team Fortress2, BioShock, left4Dead and Fallout3 was on my list of things but !!:doh:

Could you describe what you mean by crash?
(aka: are we talking a BSoD, frezzing, hanging with looping audio, program stops responding but windows still active)

Screen freezes up. The audio from the game works fine. Windows will atill work with no problems

Just ordered Bioshock and Team Fortress 2, Downloading them as we speak, so to speak :rolleyes: .

Now that you mention that, I had some lock up issues in the demo. This was probably 3 months ago though. I was using a Radeon 4850 with the latest drivers at the time. It didn't happen at the same point though.

I turned all the setting to low and it still does it. I think it is the game.

Yeah i just bought it for $5.00 too. And i got the "bioshock has stopped working" when i get past the intro. Don't tell me i gotta resinstall the game...

Nah doubt it. A lot of solutions were fixing it with the disc in the past, so that means that a lot of problems were with the disc as well

I seem to be stuck !!:( I can't find the diary to get the code for the elevator. Can anyone help. I know it's not very descriptive but I can't remember the name of the suites right now. :bawling: :D
