I'm a rental kind of guy and we seldom watch movies when they come out. Every once in a while, I like to rent a movie that I've seen before (usually several years prior) that I really liked to see whether it still has the same effect on me.

Well Marley and Me is one that always grabs me by the heart and throws me around like a chew toy. I end up sniffling, then sobbing, then outright blubbering toward the end of the movie. I really like this one as a solid pro-family film. The storyline is really interesting to watch as the last time I watched this movie, I think we just had one child that was an infant. Now we have 4 kids. It made the end of the movie really hard to watch and the early parts of the movie brought back so many memories of what life was like way back when (before the kids, when I was dating my wife, etc). Good times.

Again, I love the support that you see from the wife in this film. What husband wouldn't want to be loved and supported like that? Good stuff.

Doesn't the dog die in that movie? Sounds good to me...
