To print out a picture and actually make it 8 1/2 x 11" instead of 8 x 10
I hate haveing to cut the excess off.

I think it depends on the printer. My printer won't print to the edge (Epson C-80). A buddy of mine got a printer with a new pc purchase, (under $100) and his prints right to the edge.

I've been looking at it myself as I wanted to make postcards from my trip to Jamaica. Actually though it might be a nice business to make postcards for people on vacation with them in the pictures. I have the camera, just have to figure out the best way to print and have the backside setup like a postcard.

I am glad I am not the only one.
I just bought an hp psc 750 and it
great except for the pic not printing bordorless.

I am also suprised at how long the ink lasts.
I have printed about 35 or so 8 x 10's and about 15 4 x 6's and still have not
had to buy ink.

I think some printers can do it, but my wife was complaining about that as well, only it was with Publisher things.
Seems like you should be able to set them to do it, but maybe they have trouble with the edges?

its actually a setting in printer settings--give it a look and/or try page setup before you print.
