sometimes when I try to join a server, it wants me to enter the cd key in. Anyone else have this happen to them?? I don't enter it it, and it says something about a file or something. Like I am missing it or something. :WTF:

just press accept and if it doesnt work try a different server. I use ASE to connect to Quake3 servers and filter ones with PB on and 1.32

what is that punkbuster anyways?? I have it turned on, becuase I couldn't join a couple maps becuase it wasn't on.

Is that the original Cd you are using :hmmm:

Damn pirates, you can't upgrade to he latest patch if you have the *cough* version. You play on 1.30 ;)

I had a problem where when I tried to join some freeze tag servers it would say "invalid CD key" even though I have a legit version. To fix it you need to delete the "q3key" file from every directory EXCEPT the baseq3 directory. There should only be one version of this file in your whole Q3 folder.

SALvation You did it Bro ! :thumbs:

I checked all the Mod folders in my Q3 intallation and found several (q3key)
files. removed all but the one in the baseq3 folder and haven't had a problem yet. You Da Man!! :wootrock: Some Q3 Mods must and I think only ID Official Mods will create a Q3key file. Remove after you install and you will be Golden.
