Microsoft has tendered its resignation from the consortium governing the OpenGL standard, signalling an intention to go it alone with its Direct3D graphics platform.

Kinda makes me wonder about how long it will be before all we have is D3D. :hmmm:

I saw a blurb about that, makes you wonder where it will go. D3D has improved, but OpenGL has been so much to gaming, I hope it doesn't fade.

I don't think that it will ever happen. It does say that their platforms will still support it.

Both of them are the same believe me i've got one of each over 2 compters each rigged with Nvidea GeForce 4 3D accelerator... :wootrock:
