Here's a Mod thats fast paced and lots of action. Setup for teamplay fully loaded. Try it out.
Please post your comments. I am trying to find out what you guy's & Gal's want in a mod and will run them different days and stuff like that. Still havent found a Mod better than Freeze.

Installation
============
Unzip the file to your Q3A directory with folders. It will create a /bfg10k folder underneath your Q3A folder. Alternatively, create a /bfg10K folder under your Q3A folder, and unzip the files directly to there (without folders).

Fire up Q3A, switch to BFG10K Arena, find a server, hop on, and play!


About BFG10K Arena
===========

BFG10K Arena is a simple yet intriguing mod for Quake III Arena. While nearly all of id's classic weapons returned to Q3A in one form or another, one was severely crippled: the BFG.
BFG10K Arena brings back the classic feel of the Quake2 BFG10K. The new BFG consumes 50 cells per shot, and takes a second to warm up. However, the results are well worth it.

The BFG10K shoots a massive green ball of plasma that travels slowly through the arena. As it moves, it shoots green lasers at all players it can see. When it finally hits, it explodes for massive blast damage. In addition, a "flash effect" takes place: If the lines of sight between the ball, the player, and a "victim" are all cleared, the victim takes damage.


MODES OF PLAY
=============

Since the BFG is only present in certain maps, BFG10K introduces several modes of play:

o Standard: Regular Q3A. Get the BFG wherever it normally is in Q3A.
o Powerup Replace: The BFG appears once every 30 seconds where powerups (Quad, etc.) normally are.
o Incremental: Players receive a rechargable BFG that generates 2 cells per second.
o Fully Loaded: Player spawn with all weapons and 200 ammo for each.
o BFG Fury: All weapon spawns are BFG spawns. All ammo spawns are BFG Cell spawns. Players respawn with the MachineGun and infinite bullets, but they're going to want more firepower quick!

Yep i downloaded this a while ago. Its A LOT of fun on Desert Temple. Bfg blasts flying everywhere Btw id like to personally thank Fraggetti for letting us use his fileplanet account. Thanks man

I downloaded this version Bfg10k 2.0, but when I try to launch the game, it kicks me back to the main screen and down in the right corner it says version 1.30. :WTF: any ideas? :bandhead:

Mine does that too, The main menu just looks the same. It's not a problem and you should be able to join the server or run a game by yourself.

$pike I just switched to freeze Tag. If you go in the game goto mods select it from the list will it run ok than? or just when you tried to get on the server?

I selected it in the mods section and it just kicks me back to the main screen. I checked the other mods I have in there and they work fine. I haven't tried to join a server yet, although I did look for your server on ASE, but I didn't see it anywhere. Also I couldn't find any BFG10K servers. :WTF:
