Press "~" or F1 to bring down the command console, then type in "/plr_bOnlySam=1" without the quotes. After that everyone will look like Serious Sam. Don't tell anyone though, it'll be our little secret.
It helps a little, but not that much. It works just as well to turn up your monitor brightness a bit on dark maps. It's also kind of boring with Sam being the only skin.
You can change it back by typing "/plr_bOnlySam=0" in the command console.
