Under the search section you should add the google toolbar like Salvation suggested and the google deskbar which is a neat little search box that sits on your taskbar.

could I also add another antivirus option that is free? I just found it a few weeks ago and have found it to be superior to even AVG. Its called Avast Antivirus and is free for personal use after filling out a registration ticket (free) afetr which you are given a key that unlocks the product for 14 monthes. When the time runs out, simply fill out a new ticvket and you get a new code. Cool?

don't forget that for compression, there is an even better utility that is free.

    http://www.7-zip.org/

it can make all the popular formats (zip, rar) and costs nothing. Also allows for 7zip compression which is an even better compression than the popular 2

Something I really have liked and has powerful features and tools, like drag n drop, can create self extracting archives, create multi-archives spanning disks, view archives, and convert one archive to another, etc. (and is free/donation) is, IZArc its an ultimate archive utility that supports many archive formats like 7-ZIP, RAR, TAR, JAR, BIN, ZIP etc. chk it out here.

    IZArc.org

    It also has multilanguage support

    Another nice maintenance utility

Try "Advanced Window Care Personal". It's Free, Easy to use, and FAST. I've used it all of 2007 and I run it at least once a week. I've seen it bring a slow responding (near dead) machine back to life. Give it a try.
